Face masks

Dear parents/carers,

As I am sure you are aware, additional measures to reduce the spread of Coronavirus have been announced.

What does this mean for our school?

Students in year 7 and above (unless exempt) must wear face coverings when moving around the college, outside of classrooms. This includes all corridors and communal areas. The only areas where face coverings can be removed are when the student is in the dining area for eating and when outside of the building; in both instances social distancing must be adhered to.

What does this mean for parents?

Please wear a mask when visiting the college, including dropping off or picking up your children.

I want to reassure parents that we have robust risk assessments and practices in place, and we are making the college as safe as possible.

You can help us to keep the college even safer by ensuring that children are following the social distancing guidance both in and out of college. If anyone in your household develops Covid-19 symptoms (persistent cough, high temperature or loss of taste please arrange for a PCR test from the NHS.

Finally, I stress that if we all play our part and stick to the guidance, we can make the school and our community a safer place.

Kind regards,

Matthew Morton-Hire
